Golf Association and Leagues
Events are held every Wednesday beginning April 21st and ending on September 8th. Each event is an 18-hole event. A member may play anytime on Wednesday to complete his event. Each member must have a handicap with Northfork at a cost of $29.00 and pay a $80.00 prize fund fee. The full prize fund is returned to the membership in the form of gift cards. The events are scored both gross and net. An optional skins game is available each week. Links Loyalty members who join the Golf Association will receive a special rate on Wednesdays of $38.00 for the green fee and a $14.50 ½ cart fee as well as earning 10% awards.
TUESDAY 9-HOLE LEAGUE:
Play begins April 27th. The start times vary throughout the season depending upon daylight and mid-day outing events. Start times are tee-times and generally occur between 3:30 and 6:00, and 5:30-6:00 when shotguns take place. A schedule will be provided. The league is a round robin event for two-man teams. There are two halves to the season and each portion of the season must be paid in advance. Each member is required to have a handicap with Northfork. A pre-season league meeting will be held at the clubhouse or via Zoom on Tuesday, April 6th, at 6:00PM. Cost for the first half of the season is $285 and includes the handicap fee, a $5.00 prize fund per person per night, green fee and ½ cart fee, and the championship night banquet. The second half to the season begins 7/13 and includes the items mentioned above less the charge for a handicap fee for first half participants. The cost will be $256. First time participants in the second half will pay an additional $29.00 for the handicap fee.
The Lady Links play a nine-hole event each Monday evening beginning April 26th. Events will be a tee-times and blocked off for league members between 4:00 and 6:00 pm, but you can play anytime Monday. If there is an outside outing, a shotgun will take place between 5:30 and 6:00 pm. Each member must maintain a handicap with Northfork. The league fee for the handicap and trophies is $30.00. The rate per event is $27.00 to ride and $22.00 to walk. A $5 prize fund is built into each nightly event rate and will be paid out in gift cards. The pre-season meeting/new member orientation for the Lady Links will be held at the clubhouse or via Zoom on Monday, April 5th, at 6:00PM.
COUPLES FUN NIGHT OUT:
We will endeavor to hold a special couples fun night out event monthly during the summer. The fun night out would be a nine-hole golf event starting as a shotgun at 6:15. Projected cost would be $25.00 per person and would include the green fee and ½ cart fee. Please call the club house or email Mick at email@example.com to register if you are interested.
